Re: PSB & OMD

Apparently when they first met in 1981, Neil and Chris bonded over two particular songs - Soft Cell’s Bedsitter, and OMD’s Souvenir. It seems at least that OMD had listened to PSB when recording Pandora's Box so inspiration went perhaps both ways. And they worked with Stephen Hague again in 1986, I...

The crowd is as dead as Noël Coward. I always thought this performance was fun to watch, a bit dancey even.

But what we do talk about is Postscript, even if it's not listed on any sleeve. :gag:

Break 4 Love is a song by The Collaboration, not by (just) PSB. And the name was used before by Peter Rauhofer in 1999, basically it's his project.

It appears on one unprofessional website, teasing one date: 16th March at 10.30 pm. And there are literally no confirmations from either New Order nor PSB. Nope. It's not going to happen.

Re: [OT] I wish this forum had Like buttons

Facebook drivel for people incapable of expressing a considered opinion. Nah … Sometimes, people make statements that you (really) like but can't add much more. Quoting this very statement and just writing something that's basically saying "yes, I agree" is more spam than having an opinio...

Re: PSB announce ‘Inner Sanctum’ live DVD/BLU RAY/CD

I didn't know where else to put it:

The digital album to that show is available on Spotify. While it had the red/circled DVD cover until a few weeks ago, it now shows the words "INNER SANCTUM" in yellow within a pink circle surrounded by white, basically the Super album style.

Re: Non studio album singles playlist

I think there is nothing properly wrong in the playlist! :) Intentionally left out IDOSAC and added OSM from Agenda to compensate. But why is that, compensating one EP with another? While the Christmas EP was in the charts, Agenda wasn't. A Lost song would be missing then, too. All non-musical EPs (...

One more chance […] Shopping […] Hit music […] It couldn't happen here […] I want to wake up […] King's Cross: […] What could I say more? You summarized it pretty well. :) Overall, I get the impression that "I Want to Wake Up" is pretty underrated by some members here. I want to remind ev...

What a nice project, especially the charity part, and certainly a thrill to "perform" in the same studio PSB once was. Good luck, Effen! :)

Re: PSB transitional tracks

Also, “Your funny uncle.” It was the final b-side of the “Introspective” era. More personal, reflective, and organic sounding than anything that had come before, it presaged what would emerge 14/15 months later on “Behavior.” I guess that's a bit tricky. Your Funny Uncle was written by Neil after t...

Re: PSB transitional tracks

Interesting idea, especially with the later b-sides. As Dog said, "A Face Like That" could've been Electric material, too. For me, "Decadence" suits a transition into the Bilingual era. Some tracks were also hold back from one era to another. The demo for "Leave" was wr...
