Thanks a lot for the details, andrewthomas100!
It surely was a fantastic event, and I wish I was there, too.

Was it recorded? Oh, I really hope so!

Re: What's the most impressive thing PSB have done?

For me the most impressive thing is creating music that ... * is always on my mind * inspires me * makes me feel home and dry * brings tears to my eyes * makes me see a different point of view * always sounds fresh and surprises me * is full of electricity, opportunities and miracles * touches me de...

Re: 10 for 10: Best Pet Shop Boys Tracks of the Decade

Just 10 songs? That's not easy, "there are so many to choose from" . Here's my list in no particular order: Vocal (an all-time favourite) Love is a bourgeois construct ( "moaning periodically" ) The Pop Kids (a song about all of us) Breathing space Inner sanctum (a perfect opener for a show) H...

Re: Neil's flogging off an antique piano.

Auction ended one month ago now, but unfortunately no further posts or news here. :(
I'm still wondering what happened to it and who is playing it now.

Does anybody know?

Re: Poll ends soon on whether you want PSB to eventually have a "retirement tour"

A retirement tour? Oh no, the thought of it makes me very sad and I don't even want to think about that. :( I don't want the soundtrack of my life ever to stop and just wish that everything goes on ... and on ... and on ... forever! Hopefully this terrible day is far, far away ... lightyears away. S...

Re: New Literally

My copy arrived in Germany on 17th April, so that was quite fast (faster than last year). I'm very happy with it. The 1986-interview with the comments is funny and entertaining. It's a nice idea, I'd like to read more of this. At first sight I thought that the David Walliams-interview is quite long ...

Re: Forthcoming PSB TV and radio appearances...

The edited TV version of "Inner Sanctum" will be broadcasted on German TV channel 3sat again on May, 1st (7:35-8:50 a.m. CET). It is part of the programme "Pop Around The Clock", and I guess it's the same 75-min-edit that was broadcasted on New Year's Day 2019 already. I'm quite sure that everybody ...

Re: Comparisons

Very interesting thought. Thank you for the links. I quite like both songs, but I have to admit that I don't know very much else of Bing Crosby.

This brings two other songs to my mind, and one difference between Crosby and the PSB surely is their opinion concerning snow at Christmas. :)

Re: Neil's flogging off an antique piano.

Oh yes, transport definitly was a reason, especially for international bidders. And for me of course the limited space in my quite modest living room. :( This piano deserves some great surroundings and someone who can play it well. I just hope it went to a fan - and lots of PSB-songs will be played ...

Hello scienceguy, and a warm welcome from another newbie. It's great to have you here. Age doesn't matter at all, it's an advantage, because it makes this forum a lot more interesting. I guess we are all quite different here, different ages (I was 13 when West End Girls was released), come from diff...
