Re: Being Boring At 30

One of my all time favourite songs and it never ages. It’s perfect in every way. I could never choose a favourite PSB track but if I did then this would definitely be a contender. Behaviour was also released at a particularly strange time in my life. I remember listening to the whole album in the da...

Re: When you stop liking the music as much

I don’t know why but I wasn’t inspired by the little I heard from either Fundamental or Yes. In fact I didn’t buy either of them for years. I loved Release (still do) and everything before that and was still listening to most of it. It wasn’t until Elysium that they caught my attention again. The vi...

Of course! One of my all time favourite and I forgot about it.
I’m not sure I’ve ever gotten to the end of Disco 2 so I’m not sure I even knew this gem was there! The ONLY PSB album I never play.

I really enjoyed that. It’s probably the closest I’ll get to seeing the real thing. I had no idea that Gordon Warnecke was playing Omar’s father! That was such a great idea.

Re: Was Please released on CD straightaway?

I first owned Please on cassette. I thought it was weird at the time as mine said side A and side B instead of side 1 and side 2. (The cassette sadly got chewed to bits in the end thanks to my Walkman). Please was bought after Actually was released as I really only got in to PSB's from when Actuall...

Re: Was Please released on CD straightaway?

I’ve only ever owned Please on CD and I know I wouldn’t have waited long after the album release to get it. If it didn’t come out on CD at the same time as other formats it couldn’t have been long afterwards.

Re: That Crossover Moment.....

I was hooked from the first listen to West End Girls though I only really bought the albums and the odd 12”. So unbelievably I was unaware of many delights until Alternative came out. I’ve pretty much bought everything that has something different to the albums since then. I know many people have fa...

Re: What would you think a future PSB's album should sound like in order to reinvent themselves?

[/quote] For me, the ballet has been one of the most wonderful thing PSB has done over the years. So I like when they make additional projects, no problem with that. Talking about proper studio albums. Ok, you love the depressing lyrics about getting older and all this stuff. But I'm not talking abo...

Re: It Couldn’t Happen Here June 2020 Release Confirmed

Mine arrived yesterday. Lovely presentation. It would have been worth it just for the photo of Chris smiling 😊 I’m waiting for a time to watch it alone. I’m not having other people around interfering with its craziness.

Whatever you think of the album the intro with Discoteca merging into Bilingual is sheer genius. Flawless is a good description

Re: Just listened to Relentless - it's not very good

Yes it is bleak and I love it for that. It also doesn’t need lyrics other than those few that are there. Much as I love Euroboy and Speculation they would ruin the unique quality of Relentless. I was totally in awe of Relentless when it came out because it was so different to anything I had or that ...

Re: There's still hope for Neil

For some reason I find that music video very difficult to watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcouA_oWsnU I've never heard of Captain Tom Moore, but there's clearly someone else signing in the song so I don't know what involvement the man has. Also it's a bit insulting to compared this 100 year ...
