Re: Trilogy remixes

Surely a passing mention for the Twenty Something (Nissim Godfather Remix) - one of the most interesting remixes in their career. Reminds me of the old Frankie Goes To Hollywood remixes of the 80's i.e ridiculous, camp and over the top. G. This is the unreleased one, isn’t it? Do we know why it did...

Re: It’s a Sin - Upcoming AIDS drama

I actually missed the original thread so thanks.

Interesting to see that the final shot almost looks like a still from the It's a sin video. Shot with an orange glow, main character with short sides/semi permed top.

Though perhaps we all looked like that in 1987.

Re: Pet Shop Boys & Robbie Williams

No Regrets isn't much of a collab besides just Neil on backing vocals She's Madonna is the deal for me! She’s Madonna is a fantastically clever record - very much an archetypal PSB record. I was going to suggest it in the other thread as the ‘surprising’ track but I felt its just too much of a RW r...

Re: Three track recommendations

It's difficult because even when they sound like other things/bands i.e 'This used to be the future' they always sound so PSB. Possibly something like: ' I didn't get where I am today ' (which for 30 seconds doesn't sound PSB until the vocals.). To truly not sound PSB it would probably need a Chris ...

Re: PSB - Radio 1 August 1991

These have brought back so many memories. I'm sure I had these once. I was working in a building society and it was about the time that I had handed in my notice to leave to go to university. I would have been due to be working at 9.00am but I remember starting a tape in the office hifi at 9.00am an...

Re: PSB DJ Culture Radio 1 - August 92

Pet Shop Boys - Radio 1, Monday 24 July 1992, 9:00-10:00 I figured I'd have some fun getting the tracklists down, and started with the first link provided. News snippets help pin down the date to Monday 27th 1992 (Mary Wells died the night before). There was never a Monday 24th 1992 (unless in a di...

Re: PSB DJ Culture Radio 1 - August 92

According to Literally 9, the dates are between July 27th and July 31st. That might be correct. If it is in 1992 then I will update my dates. I tried to check some of the news articles against historic dates and on Thursday it breaks that a couple of GB athletes are sent home from the Olympics (spo...
