Re: Musik - Cabaret and EP

You're right. I don't know the concept. I am judging the music and it sounds terrible. You are doing the equivalent of judging a comedy as a drama. It's a pointless exercise that makes you look silly. That's ridiculous. Music should be able to be judged on its own merit, especially when said music ...

Re: Today I listened to Elysium for the first time since 2012...

Breathing space is one of their best ever. At the time of release I was going through some difficult times/major life crossroads decisions and it really resonated with me as a result and helped a lot. Beautiful, evocative song. How different we are. I find it to be their worst ever album track. Jus...

Re: Musik - Cabaret and EP

Absolutely no need to spend tonnes of money. Just a little effort really. Or alternatively reel in some young producer who's dying to work with a couple of synth-pop legends for a dime. Sounds like you have no idea what the Edinburgh Fringe is, nor the context of the one-woman show itself. The song...

Re: Musik - Cabaret and EP

Erm... just FYI there is no such thing as 'general midi drum sounds'. General Midi only defines the name of the sound, not the actual sound itself, which could be anything. I am referring to two things: One is the rhythmic patterns, which sounds like those found on "arranger keyboards" in the 80's ...

Re: Musik - Cabaret and EP

OK, I didn't even discover this until today. Shows you how much out of the loop I am. Anyway, a mini-rant coming on: The production on this is PISS-POOR. This is arguably the worst production I have heard on any "proper" release by any artist in decades. Frankly, maybe ever. And this is coming from...

Re: New EP in April: Agenda

Well, I think most would agree that The Forgotten Child is great, but as for the rest...not exactly classic PSB.

Re: The irony of Agenda

A quick test to see if someone is a snowflake is to see how they respond to obvious, common-sense statements like "All Lives Matter", or "It's Okay To Be White". If they are triggered by these statements, they are a snowflake. This is misguided because it fails to recognize that context matters. On...

Re: MY CHRISTMAS TOP 50 (IT INCLUDES PET SHOP BOYS)

Nice one - here are my best albums of 2017 https://lifeassistanceagency.com/2017/12/02/albums-of-the-year-2017/ Listening to the Gents album now. Somehow I hadn't heard of them despite being fellow danes. However, I'm really not keen on his voice. I think I'm gonna have a hard time getting over tha...

Re: Rare Opportunities Phillipines 12" - is this true?

It did!

Does anybody else out there have a copy and is it the same also? Would be nice to know if they were all manufactured like this. Seems like a strange thing to do.
