They don't seem to have read the complaints about the Official Store.
A case in point as to why they should take a peek from time to time, but filtering out the noise would be a pain.

Re: Odds that Chris/Neil read this forum?

It's a shame because there are some genuinely good suggestions here that they could really pick up on, but I guess sorting the wheat from the chaff could get to be a bore. Where did the "banging and lasers" thing come from? Wasn't that someone on here who said that, or was that from one of Geowayne'...

Re: That Crossover Moment.....

I think the real defining moment for me was late 1986. Up to that point I was very much aware and liked the singles and "Please" but only had a pirated cassette of it from a friend. I was in Woolworths (Yay Woolies! ) in Worthing, Sussex, and they had "Disco" playing in the music section of ...

And a great quote from the associated online article here: https://www.the-tls.co.uk/articles/pet-shop-boys-literally-pet-shop-boys-versus-america-chris-heath-review-lynsey-hanely/ "The Pet Shop Boys are the ultimate pop act for thinkers and feelers: for those who do both a bit too much, who make ex...

Somebody just stole the art idea of I don't wanna...
I think unfortunately this was released first, so technically PSB (or Farrow) stole it.

Re: Video Remasters

It was around 20 years after release before I knew of any controversy around the Domino Dancing video. Innocently thought it was just two guys getting into a scuffle over a very hot woman. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk  Me too. I thought she was proper gorgeous and got zero homoerotic r...

Re: Video Remasters

Gotta be honest, these aging eyes dont see enough of a difference to really care. The human eye and ear can probably only see and hear up to a certain level of clarity before this sort of stuff becomes a waste of time and a gimmick to shift the same copy of a song or movie for the umpteenth time. I ...

Re: Final results of rating "Laundrette" songs and "New Boy"

No, I didnt know you could do that. Might check it out but would still want my own list offline too. There is the function to export lists from Discogs in Excel/csv format. (I am no affiliated with Discogs or any of its ancillaries) I signed up so will def give this a try. Thanks all for the enligh...

Greetings,

Yes. But on Discogs? (That's where I've documented mine - in Discogs you can separately list "inventory" and "items I own")

Retro. :)

Re: It Couldn’t Happen Here June 2020 Release Confirmed

Amazon UK has lost my shipment somewhere. I got a refund immediately, but the „It couldn‘t happen here“ limited edition is sold out. If someone has a spare copy, feel free to write a PM. My box from Amazon isn't even dispatched yet. Looks like I won't receive it too... I originally ordered from Ama...

I dug up my IDOSAC CD the other day (trying to document all my PSB collection), and thanked my lucky stars it was intact, silver bubble wrap and all.
On Discogs?

Retro. :)
Not selling....just documenting what I own.

Re: Any crazy hanging out stories with Neil/Chris?

No crazy hanging out stories sadly, but they have been super nice every time I've met them. I was so stoked when they posted Neil's photo he took of my daughter as a Pet Text from the Super tour meet and greet. After the Electric tour meet and greet they never took my wife up on her invitation to c...

Re: Final results of rating "Laundrette" songs and "New Boy"

Sporadic as they may be, I still enjoy them, and hope some day you'll be able to do more. For what it's worth, I found the My Beautiful Launderette CD kind of "meh" but I guess that goes some way to explaining "giving it away" with Literally. On a secondary note, I wonder if these CD's will be as va...

Re: What would you think a future PSB's album should sound like in order to reinvent themselves?

Elysium is the Behaviour of the 21st century. In another 12 years you’ll realise just how good it actually is. For my money Hotspot is a better contender for that accolade. It just doesn't have a "Being Boring" but other than that it's solid IMHO. Elysium though is definitely a grower not a show-er...

Re: What would you think a future PSB's album should sound like in order to reinvent themselves?

Elysium, looking back on it....the lyrics are a passable set of Tennant lyrics. but I think the real problem is there is alot of uninspired music. Memory of the future, hold on,everything means something, your early stuff, winner, ego music. while I know some will say they LOVE some of them, I think mo...
