Re: Track-by-Track: From Please to Nonetheless
Somehow the title feels too soft compared to the lyrical content. Naming the song "No one knows your name " would've fitted better. But those lines which perhaps are the best of the song are not on the album version.

Re: Track-by-Track: From Please to Nonetheless
I'd say Opportunities/In The Night is much more of a telling career introduction to what was to come than 2/0. Although 2/0 also revealed their past as it was a Bobby O-cooperation. Chris doesn't get any writing credit on 2/0, that is an anomaly in the PSB catalogue. There are several one offs in th...

Re: Closer to Heaven - London 2024
Only 10 minutes actually but still a worthy reminder of one of the low points in the PSB era. Cringeworthy, but then again, so many musicals are that way.Nickname wrote: ↑Sat 16 Mar 2024, 3:02 pm CLOSER TO HEAVEN (15 MINUTES OF THE ORIGINAL SHOW):

Re: Single or album version preferences
Many of PSB's singles mixes are different to their parent album versions. I'm interested to know which versions you guys prefer. My list below (with my preferences stated) excludes singles that were exactly the same as the album versions, plus a couple with hardly any differences (2nd version of 'O...

Re: PSB & OMD
Sorry, very juvenile and waaaaay off topic but it may refer to the self described, collective onanistic tendencies of everyone’s favourite be-denimed 3-chord boogie purveyors. See the Chart Music Podcast A-Z wiki: Polish, Having A: The post-gig relaxation technique deployed by Status Quo, presumabl...

I believe it's the Hackney Empire in London (after looking at a bunch of pictures in Google). Can anyone corroborate? First Stones w Hackney Diamonds and now this. Anybody able to explain sociologically about Hackney? If my flat was on the other side of the road it would be in Hackney and worth abo...

Amazing details on the fringe of the PSB catalogue. Extraordinary level of knowledge in this forum.

Re: PSB as a group - timeline
Nope, they just gave some tracks for him to work on, then they went back to UK to finish them with Mendelsohn (who, according to my theory, was part of the group).
I'd really like to hear that Munich mix of Behaviour.

Re: Wilderness years?
Definitely!! The wilderness years started with Very for me. I remember hearing Can You Forgive Her and I loved it! But then the whole album came out and I was very disappointed, as I liked only Can you forgive her?, The Theatre and Dreaming of the Queen, but the rest of the album sounded cheap...

Re: Your bet for main single of "Nonetheless"
Tom Stephan has just confirmed to me on Instagram that his remix of Party in the Blitz will be an extra track on the next single 'out soon'. That's what I call "main single" ("lead single"), the one that is released more closest to the album's release date and is supposed to be ...
