The days when fake was equal to poor quality are long gone. If quality is all you care about, then whether it is fake or not should no longer matter.

But that CD is surely fake.

Re: Discovery 1994 - DVD/CD-Release

generally speaking, what is the point ? I think the culture of digital releases has not yet progressed to the point where I would buy them instead of physical ones. The main issue is that you don't get the full booklet. Just the sleeve image in JPEG which normally does not even include the full cre...

yes, and there a copy of.
Exactly. Copies that can be played just by way of a few clicks rather than scratching the physical disc.

Re: Discovery 1994 - DVD/CD-Release

Looks like another cheap, crap paper sleeve like the "Inner Sanctum" release. The pockets on that one were so tight one had to scratch the discs to remove them. I don't understand why they no longer house discs in proper plastic cases. I pretty much doubt that the paper packaging is cheap...

Re: PSB - Vaccination

Whether covid vaccines also stop you from being able to transmit (on top of stopping you from getting ill) is still a big question.

Re: Pet Shop Boys and Electronic fact/error

The text, written in that annoying language of english music critics, consistently describes Electronic's collaboration with Neil as collaboration with Pet Shop Boys. I would imagine it was probably written by one of those jugheads who thought that PSB were factually just Neil, and Chris was simply...

That "PET SHOP BOYS Presents" title is misleading, isn't it? It is not official.

Re: Audience applause/acclaim effects in studio tracks

Agree that the effect fits very well on Music for boys . Agree that it doesn't necessarily do so on What keeps mankind alive? , That's my impression and Groovy — they could live without it. Agree that the applause on The competition and The winner is integral part of the ballet narrative. So it is o...

Audience applause/acclaim effects in studio tracks

PSB sometimes use the subject in studio tracks. Off the top of my head: Music for boys What keeps mankind alive? Intergal (perfect immaculate mixes) The winner (demo) (from The most incredible thing ) — as opposed to the complete version I have mixed feelings about hearing those effects in studio tr...

Re: Longevity from a fan perspective

There are 2 meanings to the word ‘vindicated’ The 2nd being "show or prove to be right, reasonable, or justified". That's the one used here, correct? In that case, "guilt" mentioned above is simply replaced by "being wrong, unreasonable, unjustified". Which does not ch...

Vindicated?

Even should they have happened to be "a flash in the pan", why feel any guilt of liking the music they created while being that flash, however a few tracks that would have been?

Re: It Couldn't Happen Here (remastered) on YOUTUBE

You can have free speech, and have all opinions aired, without being rude You certainly can. There has to be, however, a clear objective test as to whether something is "rude". The use of swear words towards forum members is an example of such a test. Otherwise, "rude" is whatev...
