Please seems to have ended up the whipping boy in this poll. Personally these days I find it almost too close to call between Please, Actually and Behaviour as their greatest album, though I always vote for Behaviour out of long-standing habit.

I think it's overstated how song lyrics don't work on the page. It's true that they flow better when you know the tune, but even if you don't know the tune, as long as you know that it is a lyric it's easy to make the adjustment of expectation that it's not necessarily going to have a regular poetic...

I am looking forward to this. I hope the selection is a little daring as PSB's biggest hits are not necessarily their most interesting. I'd rather read the lyrics (and commentary) of Jack The Lad or DJ Culture that those of Heart or It's A Sin , for example. "It's a sin" isn't interesting?
