Re: Robert Smith from The Cure isn't a Neil Tennant fan

Of course, there is no jealousy like a 30 year grudge. From a man who’s read Some Kafkha, misinterpreted ALL of it and has taken it far too seriously, As well as being the exact double of Elizabeth Emmanuel (but without the taste) then that’s something. :eh:

Electrozombies: An age old question but what is the best Pet Shop Boys album of all time?

Electrozombies: https://electrozombies.com/magazine/article/what-is-the-best-pet-shop-boys-album-ever/ I happen to agree with this list (apart from that I would put Super ahead of Yes, which Simon Cowell ruined for me by mauling it.) However, I suspect that this is a list for a wider electronic/elec...

Re: When you stop liking the music as much

Whereas, the psychological harm created by the utterly embarrassing “Wedding in Berlin” - a cultural scar for life, means I’m not even sure what I want any more..... some quiet? A real summing up of what it’s all about? Like Joan Crawford doing “The Trog” and Bette Davis doing “Wicked Stepmother.” Y...

They were doing a fine job of reinvention with Electric and Super (both in my top 5 now.) Alas Hotspit is back to “meh” territory

Re: The revenge of Bobby "O" - Mixed Up World

Bobby O has done some blatant plagiarism in the past. I bought a Divine album a few weeks ago and there's the I Feel Love ripoff Shoot Your Shot, but I didn't know about Love Reaction which is just Blue Monday. When I heard it, I just had to laugh. It's great stuff, mind you. Anyway, in that light ...

Re: Battleship Potemkin - True, accurate sync

Thank you so much for going to all this effort. I really appreciate it as someone who was in Trafalgar Square on that rainy Sunday in September, 2004. It was quite spectauclar at the time with the introduction, the actors and the projections on all these historical buildings. It is a shame that PSB ...

Re: Bring him back - I know who I want to produce the next album

I'd love them to do something with Rick Smith and Karl Hyde from Underworld. I think they would have a very similar dynamic and it would be great to hear what a ''pop' album and 'harder dance' album would sound like. An Underworld/Relentless 2 album would be very exciting. Plus a New Order/PSB/Unde...

Re: Just listened to Relentless - it's not very good

Well, I happen to thin Relentless is exceptionally good. It's bound to sound dated. It's 27 years old. Its dance music. But I can confidently confirm it was played on "The Monster" ride on Blackpool Pleasure Beach, where Chris Lowe used to work, all throughout summer 1994, as My friend and...

Re: Hey, Super - that's a really good album

I absolutely love Super. It’s more consistent than Electric although it doesn’t quite reach its dizzy heights. They are now both in my top 5 albums. The said can’t be said for “Hotspot” which is not the great thing many people are wittering on about. “Hoping for a Miracle” is exceptional. “Willo the...

Anyway, I'd like to know what you think about this review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovUH28yiI3I Mind writing down a summary? I don't wanna watch. Bear in mind he comes from other generation and from USA he didn't live the same passion and fever we were living in 80's and in Europe when and w...

Re: New single - I don't wanna

There are four good track on the album, but the poor ones still overshadow it and as somebody else has already said the album cover is out of focus, just like the music. sadly after the highs of the previous two albums, I just want to whizz it over next door's fence.
