Re: Three track recommendations

The deep cut - Fugitive. It's a pulsating track written from the perspective of suicide bombers. You don't get that from Coldplay. The surprise track - We Came From Outer Space. Decide is the most recent example of this type of track and I suppose Relentless its epitome. The cringe factor - Winner. ...

So, an annoying actor vs annoying YT creators, who will win?
RLM are really good. Just been watching their pick of favourite Star Trek TNG episodes, which is very entertaining. Even better has been seeing them lose it over the Picard series.

Future duet

Imagine if Cardi B had teamed up with Neil on WAP rather than Megan Thee Stallion.....

But come on, it can only be a matter of time. Nailed-on fifth number one single.

Re: PSB DJ Culture Radio 1 - August 92

Pet Shop Boys - Radio 1, Monday 27 July 1992, 10:00-11:00 Absolutely smashing show (again, the correct date actually is Monday July 27th 1992). Chris just being all in on new music he loves, of which I know some but not all. Please help filling in the blanks. The Colin Faver megamix block is really...

Re: Live performances of Chris in past and now.

I chatted briefly to Chris at the bar at Muzik and I thought he looked better than I expected. I think sometimes he doesn’t photograph particularly well - I feel that pain! It’s always difficult when your public persona is a disguise, as people’s image of your true appearance is probably the Actual...

Re: PSB DJ Culture Radio 1 - August 92

I remember them doing it live and playing all these amazing dance tunes on the show, while the other stand-ins for simpering Simes were incredibly dull, and if memory serves me correctly, pre-recorded.

And a question: what are these recordings?
They sat in on Radio 1 in 1991 and 1992 while preposterous 'Our Tune' stalwart Simon Bates was on holiday.

Re: Popbitch mailout

Sorry to bump an old thread but Neil makes an appearance in Popbitch's latest mailout with this entertaining but slightly sordid story from 2004. "Neil Tennant from Pet Shop Boys celebrated his 50th birthday in 2004 and threw a big fancy Andy Warhol themed party to celebrate. His good friend, the s...

Re: Richard X on working with PSB and others

Thanks for the link - really interesting. Echo the sentiments on Fugitive - it shows that they never lost their ability to deliver incredible pop songs. Neither a single nor album track, not even a b-side!
