Re: Video Remasters

Regarding the homoerotic "references" in Domino dancing — I still don't get them. The "fight" in the sea waves indeed looks unconvincing and more resembling kids in an aqua park than fighters. But that's just bad choreography/acting/direction, isn't it? I don't see anything erotic about it at all (...

Re: What would you think a future PSB's album should sound like in order to reinvent themselves?

Some people don't want to understand that I mean. I'd like PSB could reinvent themselves with new sounds. I said that on the first post of this thread. But of course, if I had to choose between the big quality sound of PSB in the 80's and the low quality sound of songs like Burning the Heather. I p...

Re: What would you think a future PSB's album should sound like in order to reinvent themselves?

Well, I understand why some people love some songs like BTH but that's because it has an easy listening sound and reflective lyrics. Ok you love that. But for me, the song it's depressing and uninspired. Nothing related to the original PSB's sound is reflected on it. No intros, no electonic, no orc...

I guess from tomorrow the new Government guidelines mean in theory Neil and Chris would be able to meet in person and spend time at each other’s houses.
And work on their next album Bubble.

Re: Guardian 100 Greatest UK No.1's

This is such an anodyne, predictable list, exemplified by Fat of the Land being on there rather than the far superior Music for the Jilted Generation:

"Well, I still like it. I still feel the pathos of it. I always thought there’s a sense of loser-ness with our music. Or a sympathy with the people who are left out. If there’s ever an overt celebration of glamour, it’s probably satire."

Re: Guardian 100 Greatest UK No.1's

Reading some of the comments on there, a lot of people are convinced it'll be West End Girls. It's certainly the most likely of PSB's number one singles as it evokes a certain period in time and is genuinely innovative in terms of the hip-hop influence. Perhaps that's partly why they recorded a new ...
