Re: No more LAYERS please!
There was interview given by Pete Gleadall I think, although it could have been Bob Krushaar, back in "Literally" around the time of "Bilingual" where they mentioned the sentiments you're echoing. In the interview they stated they were always counseling Neil and Chris to strip ba...

Re: How does Jealousy fit in PSB discography chronologically speaking?
Neil has stated on several occasions that at various points during the Parlophone years PSB had mooted the idea of a covers EP but Parlophone never liked the idea. For instance the "Somewhere" single was originally intended to be an EP of show tunes and a "rock classics" EP was s...

Re: Which song Pet Shop Boys could cover in the future?
They have often expressed their admiration of Depeche Mode over the years. "Policy of Truth" or "Lie to Me" would be good choices, but there's many other DM songs that would suit them as well.

Re: Literally and Versus America musings.
As an American kid back then, I can 100% say that EMI sucked in regard to releasing PSB's singles stateside. Many, if not most of their singles weren't released here post Domino Dancing, and even before then it was fairly spotty. I always had to track down the UK imports, which in the late 80s early...

Still waiting for mine in Michigan, USA. Tracking says it was sent to country of destination yesterday, guessing it will arrive in a week to ten days.

Re: Bring him back - I know who I want to produce the next album
Klas Ahlund as he got such a great sound on the Robyn tracks he's worked on. CYA as their mix of Decide was really aggressive. Ditto with Tuff City Kids on their mix of "Undertow." They should give Andrew Dawson another shot as he got a good sound out of them even though many of the songs ...

Re: Hey, Super - that's a really good album
I agree with you that "Super" will be reappraised at some point as one of their better albums; solid pop all the way through.
I disagree about "Electric", it's incredibly engaging from beginning to end, and in my opinion their best effort since "Very."

Re: New single - I don't wanna
Yes, yes, must eat up logistical capacity for CD. 🙄 So what you're saying is I'm being selfish for ordering a CD and having it sent UPS or FEDEX. I think, rather, I'm spending money into the economy during a time when people are losing their jobs because normal services are being scaled back. I som...

Did anyone else catch where Chris said there could very well be a fourth Stuart Price produced PSB album?

Re: Annually 2020
They probably want to allow a little space between the release of the Monkey business single and the preorder.

Many co-headliners on US double-tickets switch-off which one goes on first and which one plays last.

Not really a PSB track, but Chris provided vocals for a cover of New Order's "Sub-Culture."

Re: At Rock Bottom (snippet)
The fact that we're not getting the usual two b-sides per single leads me to believe there is another collection of songs, be that another album, side-project, or EP in the offing.

Re: US TOUR
I think the downside would be each act would perform a truncated set, so basically just greatest hits for a general audience and no fan favorites or deep cuts.
