Re: Burning the heather

I love this. its so warm sounding and wonderfully produced. as far as the tracklist, yes there are a few un-PSB song titles, but there has never been a album release where I didnt just absolutely love at least 4 songs and play them to death endlessly so I am not even worried at all, plus keep in min...

Re: Name the next Pet Shop Boys album

Sheeeesh you people are so depressing coming up with names for their last album, its ghoulish, morbid, sad and unbecoming of a fan.
anyways my turn, I pick "Conclusion"

Re: PET SHOP BOYS NEW SONG: ANGELIC THUG

Yeah I like this also. I really like that little moment right after the second chorus where they do that little moody instrumental section which is patented PSB. I totally suspect we will get this as one of the B-sides and thanks to Nickname for scoring this

The idea that Trevor has fallen out with Neil and Chris just because he's not been following their career as closely as us fans is frankly ridiculous. I should imagine he's extremely busy.
ah I suppose so. maybe its making a mountain of a mole hill. It just seemed weird to me at the time

Re: Weak production

if I had to guess, I'd say the PSB and Trevor had a falling out and the way he is acting is the end result of it. when I read him imply he wasnt aware of what the PSB was up to I thought its kind of like purposely pretending to forget someone's name on purpose simply to get a dig in. Oh have Ned and...

I think "no boundaries" is like the second coming of young offender production wise and musically. really starting to like it almost as much as open mind

Re: Keeping An Open Mind on An Open Mind

Listening to the 3 new songs I dont think this song is a B-side because it doesnt fit. I am thinking how all 3 are so lush and shimmering that this is the theme for the whole album. electric and super were both upbeat but I wouldnt describe either as lush. yet these 3 tracks are. they all remind me ...

Re: Dreamland / No Boundaries CD single - October

"There was beauty and ugliness, ugliness and beauty"... something so simple as repeating but reversing the words around and it sounds so perfect. its debatable if its a "single" but I havent even heard the new album yet but feel this is more worthy of the album than B-side.

Re: Do You Consider Disappointed a part of the "official" canon?

While I had always been a fan of the PSB I had no idea about this songs existence. way back when I was just flipping thru channels and that movie cool world was on and I just let the movie play while I was cleaning up and then I heard a tune during a scene with a singer going AHHH AH AHHHHHH and I w...

Re: The lost single

Yeah I only really liked Drunk on concrete because it had acoustic guitar all the way thru the song like the studio version should have been, and I enjoyed their beautiful orchestral version of rent. west end girls sounded ok, but it just sounded uninspired. my favorite live version of west end girl...
