Re: Final results of poll on three favorite songs of the "Behaviour era"

The survivors is in my all time top five. I literally “whooped” when they played it at the Albert Hall gig I always skipped that song until I heard it in the 2012 orchestral performance. It suddenly clicked and now it's one of the highlights of the album imo. I agree, It is a very good song, but th...

He never used ‘tits’ though...
Exactly my first thought! I'd have used it as a primary rhyme.

Re: The musical that just won't die ;)

One song does not an obsession make. It's not one song: it is the whole agenda EP, this new song Dreamland and in an interview/tour programme/commentary, I don't remember exactly, he eventually turned the subject of The Dictator Decides from Kim to Donald. Consider also that we are talking of a per...

Re: The musical that just won't die ;)

Neil is kinda obsessed with Trump, isn't he? I don't think this obsession could be healthy for his creative process. Agenda was a very firm political statement, both if you agree or not with his political view, but I hope we'll get some different issues on the new album: is getting a little bit bori...

Re: Which last PSB song made you feel excited (like in the old days)?

Axis and then from Super; "Burn" (and probably the whole album - I LOVE Super - I am JUST getting in to its layers - which are deep and hidden.) I have a major problem with Burn. I can't listen to it even if it is a quite good song. It is way too similar to Tom Hooker's Looking for Love, and everyt...

Re: Pet Shop Boys Biopic?

I don't like biopics, in the same way that I don't like fictional hystorical movies. People will assume that what they see in the film is reality.
So I'd say yes for a documentary or a movie without fictional changes and insertions.

Re: Today I listened to Elysium for the first time since 2012...

When I first heard it - It sounded like a record contract filler I just didn't get it. It sound like an old persons album (and I didn't want to be old) As a result I pretty much stopped listening to PSB for a while until I heard the opening chords of Axis. It took me a good number of years to pick ...

Re: 1988 photo

What about POPlaroid, an exhibition in the National Portrait Gallery? Am i being delusional? Absolutely not. What do we know 'till now? 1) all three images are Polaroid 2) all three pet texts cite the photographer who took the picture 3) all three the pictures are form late '80s, one for year (In c...

To my memory, Behaviour was shit when it came out, the teaser track, "So Hard", was a big lie too.
It grows through the years thanks to its commercial failure.

Having said that, Hold On and Ego Music are really awful.

Re: Why vinyl? My first PSB-CD

My first PSB CD was Where The Strrets Have No Name with the new remix of I Want A Dog...that was the sole reason I bought it and I didnt even have a CD player to listen to it on for maybe a year or more after. I was a total 12" junkie for PSB music...still am...so the majority of my collection are ...

My exact thoughts! Why post this as a Pet Text without any context? Not like the Boys to post simply for nostalgias sake. More to this than meets the eye I say!
Everything means something, as Neil used to sing in year 2012

Record an entire album with 1981 equipment.
It is the exact opposite of what I wish, but exciting in the same way! Good idea.
