Re: What is your least favourite EVER Pet Shop Boys song?

I'm so sorry Onzio. I never intended to offend. It just shows how we are all different with our particular favourites which is extremely healthy, I suppose. I just can't warm to that song for some reason. Oh no! I'm not so sensitive!!! :D I do not tend to overreact on PSB themes, I mean if i don't ...

Re: What is your least favourite EVER Pet Shop Boys song?

One And One Makes Five has always grated with me. Oh no, I'm throwing da bomb: One And One Makes Five is not only a song that I like, but to me the best song on Very! This should be included in the "How different are your PSB tastes from those of the majority of PSB fans?" thread. *shame*

Re: Where is the oddest public place you've heard a PSB song?

A summer night of 2017, at a gas station close to my house. There were 2 food trucks on the opposite side of each other, one doing pasta, one doing panini. I was sitting eating by the pasta one and Go west started playing. A few second later the panini one started playing Suburbia. All the situation...

Re: Agenda: Top Three Moments

1) The rythm track on OSM: bass, drums, house piano, it remembers me of Together: a very underrated track!
2) The instrumental coda of TFC
3) The vocal production on TFC: Neil has never sounded so real, warm and moving

Re: Reissues project

I tend to agree with this. Maybe my ears are broken, but the only reason why I feel a "warmer" sound while listening to a vinyl is because all those pops and clicks give me the impression of sitting next to a lit fireplace. That's ace! :D Maybe with a glass of red wine and punch of roasted chestnut...

Re: Reissues project

I had similar issue with the Bilingual re-issue, but not to this extent, so I'm holding on to it, especially since I don't have a copy of the original pressing. I have all the other original pressings, so Fundamental can go back. Seriously, the boys need to pay more attention to their test pressing...

Re: How different are your PSB tastes from those of the majority of PSB fans?

I tend to prefer the most melancholic songs instead of the big hi-nrg stompers. I.e. I prefer Being Boring, Love Comes Quickly, Leaving, One Night to Integral, Go West, Bourgeoisie. Strangest choices: - I'm not very keen on: In His Immagination and It Always Comes as a Surprise, but everybody seems ...

Re: In my house

Am I the only one who used to think that the title is a contraction of:

- Always on my mind
- Always in my house

Instead of In my House?

Sorry it was 30 years ago. :)

"an UDO artists presentation": is this the same Mr Udo as it was back in 1989?

Re: In conversation

So populism is stupidity because it's a different point of view to your own? Populism has a specific definition; Neil is correct. We are craving for more lessons from the illuminated ones! Updating a couplet from a probably known pop duo: "You're an intellectual giant, an authority to preach and te...

the big silence

What do you think about this long period of relative silence from the boys?
No tour news, no album news, no FL announcements...
They're currently working on the new songs at the moment, maybe we'll get some fat news all together?

Only speculation...

Re: The Catalogue Interviews - Julian Mendelsohn answers questions from forum members

Their single choices went off a cliff from 1994 onwards, with the odd moment of brilliance being the exception rather than the rule, sadly. I think they lost momentum in 1994. Rather than releasing five singles off Very, they should have kept it to four at a maximum and released a brand new standal...
