Re: Pet Text-The boys upset with "what a weak industry this is"

What I still can't understand is why the music 'industry' isn't apoplectic about stores that sell used CDs. I mean, perhaps I'm totally incorrect in this assumption, but it seems to me that neither the label nor the artist gets a cut of the sale of a used CD. For example, let's say I have three opti...

Re: Buying Yes/Yes special edition in New Zealand

Just ordered mine from Real Groovy, although I bought from iTunes almost the minute it came out. Need to boost the sales here in NZ so they boys will come back. A magical night exactly two years ago as I write this.

Re: Remixers who did their best work with PSB

I still think the mix by Phil Harding of Always on my mind is legendary, and probably one of his best.

A salute to one of the finest albums of the 1980s which happens to feature the song with some of the greatest chord changes (Left to my own devices). Still sends shivers when I have the last three minutes absolutely cranked from my hi-fi. And the epic performance at the Prince's Trust always brings ...

I have the full article, but copyright issues prevent me from posting it or making it available. What is interesting, however, is that in the acknowledgements, the author thanks the Introspective mailing list, especially the user 'Mary'. If you are interested in the technical aspects of music (e.g.,...

What Anderson and Seaman did with that 'second movement' is one of the greatest bits of a track from the 90s.

I'm sorry, but I had tears in my eyes after that. Simply and utterly stunning.

My first viewing left me wondering why they had left so much out, and even my wife (who isn't a fan), noticed they skipped Absolutely Fabulous. Bless. Anyway, I assume it has to be related to limited the running time for eventually commercial airing, which it's done in Australia from what I've heard...

A classic. Sequencers set to 'magic'. What I've always liked about it was the high-timbre hi-hat/tambourine that you hear throughout on the downbeat or whatever it's called. Subtle, yet rhythmically powerful and ingenious.

I quite liked the mix of the concert as well. As with all the live DVDs I buy, I record them in real time using Audio Hijack Pro (Mac) which rips the audio stream to a high-quality mp3 file (usually a fairly high bitrate). Of course, you can eq the sound to your liking as the DVD is playing, and wit...

From what I could make out at the Auckland concert, Pete seemed to running several workstations. I was under the impression that they were ProTools stations, as I thought that was how most of Fundamental (and a huge number of other CDs from today's artists) was constructed. What this means is that P...

Just got it here in NZ (courtesy amazon.co.uk) and finished watching it. What can I say? Was almost in tears at the end. This is SUCH a great DVD and the sound is superb.
