Re: 30 YEARS OF INTROSPECTIVE

Greetings, I'm Not Scared is like Fugitive. Top A level PSB, yes. But in edited form, without the intros, they lose much of their power. Agreed... the electronics on each need some room and space to flourish and encompass the listener, which they simply don't get if edited back to roughly half their...

Re: Dricography: Ranking Introspective

I could never in a million years rank Domino Dancing over Left To My Own Devices. Yet, Pet Shop Boys did too (by virtue of their single choices).

For mine, Left To My Own Devices is a masterpiece... up there with Being Boring and Can You Forgive Her?.

Were they right to release It's Alright as a single?

What a strange question to ask in relation to a Top 5 single.

Re: Final results of poll on the PSB album Very

Greetings, Yes, I'm incredibly skeptical of Wayne's theory. I actually think that the video is quite skilful to the extent that a heterosexual will likely see it as heterosexual (with a +1 to tottenhammattspurs's comment above), and a homosexual will likely see the homo-erotic undertones. Compare th...

1) Would love CD of all of it even if that's 2CDs, but I know that's just being greedy
2) Sanctum
3) X2 era singles that they bothered making clips for

Re: The Re-issues Chart Watch Thread!

Thanks for the data Rollo. I must admit that I'm a bit surprised to see more vinyl sales of Behaviour than of Bilingual, on account of their relative scarcity up until this point.

York Minister,

Will you be changing your username again shortly, to hide from the consequences of your inane topics?

Bolshy won round 1. But now the competition gets more interesting.
No, really... it doesn't.

Any Saint Ken mixes I've heard in the past have done nothing for me... I've never heard anyone here be particularly enthusiastic about them either.

Arguably the most dated sounding from Behaviour. I don't mind the album version, but oh boy...when the beat of the 12" Mix kicks in, it's eargasmic. Love that one.
+1

Re: Are we content ?

Greetings, I just hope that the third Stuart Price album is not followed by yet-another-banging-lasers-three-year-tour, because I'd love to see them channel their resources into a sustained period of recording. +1 Or retiring if they'd rather. I think by this stage, no matter where fans live, everyo...

Re: Are we content ?

I've mentioned it previously, but I'd like to see them work with Ricardo Autobahn from Spray, but I know it won't happen.

But, you know... we can't have all possible worlds at once, so I'll be thankful for whatever we get, whenever we get it.

Re: Are we content ?

Greetings, Having just discovered (excuse the pun) Electric Light Orchestra's "Discovery" album this week, and having felt compelled to listen to it on repeat, I'm actually all in favour of Jeff Lynne producing a Pet Shop Boys album. "Discovery" is a great album, and actually reminds me a lot of a P...

Re: Are we content ?

I think I would be content now. We wanted them to have another go at something in the vein of Behaviour (i.e. Elysium) We wanted another electronic album, mildly Introspective-esque (i.e. Electric) We had Super which wasn't particularly great, but probably appreciated by those asking for an EDM albu...
