Re: Hotspot reviews

Well - here's the Idle Blogs review: http://lifeassistanceagency.com/2020/01/24/hot-spot/ What a day! Great review Tom. I agree with you about the un-PSB song titles. Oddly the simple titles and lyrics don't sit well with me. I'm used to depth and thought ahead of 'I love you's Sent from my LYA-L09...

BBC R1 have just played a snippet of the FriendWithin remix of Monkey Business on MistaJam show. Like it.

Full Intention is basically Joey Negro isn’t it?
Nope
Michael Gray and Jon Pearn.
Michael is playing a lot of Defected Glitterbox events lately. A smart choice for remixers.

I love it. They really know how to write brilliant pop hooks. Lyrics are just on the edge of cheese, but it also feels a bit tongue in cheek.
And a Prins Thomas remix! Finally.

Re: Decide (Burning the Heather b-side)

It's certainly quintessential PSB, with the European trance influence showing in the second half, which sadly for me, is the half I like least. It's a very strong b side.

Re: Hotspot - Forum Reactions.

I'm excited for Hotspot more now.

If we cast our minds back 10 years, similar things were said about Legacy at the end of Yes. It still polarises, but I love it, so I'll keen an open mind ;-)

Re: Dreamland / No Boundaries CD single - October

let's hope you get a bit more dialed in to some other current, creative remixers... I agree with you Remark on this and your choices. I'm also surprised they've not tapped into the Scandi sound Lindstrom, Prins Thomas, Terje etc. The remixes are pleasant enough. I'd love a Jacques Renault dub or in...

Re: Disturbing PSB dreams

Had a really vivid dream last night about the new album. It was called Truth. The design was very Farrow with beautiful, orange vinyl, yellow vinyl, dark grey design, a bit geometric, a few small photos of Chris and Neil and 3D image on a sleeve. There was a song about Diana. I had an early review c...

Watched it on the telly Is it just me that thought Dreamland sounded absolutely bloody awful? Yes. It was just you [emoji6] I also thought the vocals on Dreamland sounded awful, especially Olly. Sounded like he was way our his vocal range. Yet Saturday night with just Neil's vocal was fantastic. Se...
