Re: So the Dreamland is coming for the new album

That's a very nice photo. Chris, in particular, is looking great!

Re: PSB EDINBURGH MUSICAL SHOW

Time will tell if any of this infects the new album, but, for now, it's possible to look at this as them compartmentalising their creative inclinations for the good of the new album. Agenda collected their more provocative, topical songs and spun them off Price 3 - and is artistically coherent as a ...

Re: The New Album Info Thread

I thought the most interesting tidbit of information in Annually was Neil revealing a different approach to songwriting: "Also, we have another way of writing, which has become more common this year of me writing lyrics and handing them to Chris..." - Neil Tennant, Annually 2019 The other nugget of ...

Re: New EP in April: Agenda

No, because there is nothing cunning or sly about it. Like much of the content, the title is straight down the line.

Re: 10 years of Fundamental - Trevor Horn answers questions from forum members

I’d argue the Radiophonic demo is superior in some ways to the album version.

Re: 10 years of Fundamental - Trevor Horn answers questions from forum members

Anyone could come up with any change in the studio. Maybe the cleaner suggested something in passing. However, one reason people employ producers is to create an environment where different ideas and perspectives are possible. Just as we would probably hold a producer accountable (fairly or unfairly...

Re: 10 years of Fundamental - Trevor Horn answers questions from forum members

We don't know definitively. Of course PSB would have contributed to it - at the very least they would approve or disapprove - but we know that the demo was not a Stuart Price production and the album version was a Stuart Price production. I think we can surmise he had at least some impact on what is...

Re: 10 years of Fundamental - Trevor Horn answers questions from forum members

maybe as a superfan of the PSB I'm imprinting on trevor but I find it a bit irritating how out of the loop he appears to be with their music. its almost as if he knows what he knows only if he's involved otherwise he cant be bothered. I mean, isnt he the least bit curious what they've been up to th...

Re: Agenda: Top Three Moments

That On social media bass line is vintage Lowe. Those verses in What are we going to do? are simply fantastic.

As affectingly beautiful as The forgotten child is, the sombre grimness of it all is a heavy listen - so I gravitate more to the flippant energy and wit of the earlier tracks.

Agenda: Top Three Moments

What are your top three moments of Agenda? There's lots to enjoy, but I am particularly fond of: 1. The Russian bot choir muscling their way to the front in On social media , a wry nod to Go West and Love etc. 2. Neil's celestial, agonised backing vocals as the beats take over in The forgotten child...

Re: New EP in April: Agenda

Moderator Comment: We've let lots go up to now simply because the subject matter of the EP meant much of the discussion was on topic, but I'm drawing the line now at the repetitive and repulsive abortion comments. People can have their political disagreements - and I'll let the odd intemperate comm...
