Re: "Winner" - the love and hate battle of this forum

I don't particularly like the weird harmony by Neil with himself. Wondering if a more straightforward rendition would have worked (either octaves or with another singer). I do like the bridge and the key change is kindy cheesy but fun in a way.

Re: Pet Shop Boys are the origin of a feud between William Shatner and RedLetterMedia

So, an annoying actor vs annoying YT creators, who will win? RLM are really good. Just been watching their pick of favourite Star Trek TNG episodes, which is very entertaining. Even better has been seeing them lose it over the Picard series. ya, I've watched them off and on for years. They are very...

Re: Pet Shop Boys - Face Masks

The U.S. sending kids back to school in the middle of an uncontrolled deadly pandemic is going to go down in the history books as one of the stupidest decisions in world history.

Actually a nice idea. Should be sold from the official store, I would bet they would sell a few.

Re: Electric Show on DVD..???

If a site doesn't want older threads to be responded to, then they should lock them. In fact, in some of the forums I'm on, people get mad if you create a new thread if there is already an appropriate one. So, I guess you can't win.

I’ll ask...... not being musically adept, could you give an example of this 1,5,6,4 chord progression?

Re: Video Remasters

It's true that filmed videos (which I think are all until you get into the 2000's) could be rescanned and the video effects (if any) could be recreated/recomposed to make HD versions of many of them. Yep. And most of the '80s ones don't even feature video effects at all. I would prefer that the mon...

You guys are talking past each other. It's true that filmed videos (which I think are all until you get into the 2000's) could be rescanned and the video effects (if any) could be recreated/recomposed to make HD versions of many of them. Now whether it is financially feasible is another issue. I wou...

Re: Choose the 5 th single (if there is a new one)

Probably Happy people or Wil o the Wisp, if there was one. What really stands out for me is how consistent the album is, there really isn't any song that I feel the need to skip. Usually I will just stop it before the Wedding though,

[quote=Nickname post_id=597488 time=1592314120 user_id=136 I don't agree with most of what you said, but it's only your opinion so that's fine. But you can't say Burning the heather doesn't have a bridge. Maybe you should listen to the song a few times before casting judgement. Where did I come fro...

I love Birthday Boy, it's one of my favorite songs by them. Then again I love Burning the Heather too, it has a similar feel to it.

Re: What would you think a future PSB's album should sound like in order to reinvent themselves?

Greetings, Yeah I’d be up for that too I think. If they can keep up the quality of Burning The Heather for a whole album, then go for it. Big "IF" though... Retro. :) Well, I understand why some people love some songs like BTH but that's because it has an easy listening sound and reflective lyrics....

Re: Guardian 100 Greatest UK No.1's

Love the boys and love West End girls but it isn't the greatest no. 1 by any stretch. These endless lists are just a means to write about music that's been endlessly written about before. It's a never ending competition with ever changing winners. These regular polls are held precisely in order to ...
