Re: New Pet Shop Order Boys

Just seen a TV spot promoting the San Francisco show on ABC.

When was the last time we had TV promotion for a PSB show? Very cool.

I did video it but I don’t know how to post on here.

Re: "It Couldn't Happen Here" on DVD

Not massive, tiny difference esp. in dark imagery. Absolutely massive, actually, to the point that Hollywood studios still aren't set up for a native 4K color pipeline because the delta in color gamut is so huge compared to 2K P3 theatrical colorspace and HD home video specs like rec709. This is wh...

Re: LONDON

Reviving this thread as I was inspired by the reference to Waterloo Bridge in 'Hoping for a miracle' to think about doing a walking tour of London. I wanted to take in many of the sites referenced in the songs, the videos, or where the boys have put on shows. I used this thread for inspiration as we...

Re: Hotspot - Forum Reactions.

7th or 8th listen now and really enjoying it. Love the variety of it. Agree with comparisons to Actually and other more varied albums. I lovely change after the last two. Favourite track currently Burning the Heather which I love in the extended version. In fact all the singles sound better on here....

Re: Reissues project

I've decided to buy the back catalogue vinyls and was after some insight on the various versions. I see Elysium original pressing was a double vinyl (with instrumentals on the second disc) and it sells for a similar price to the reissue. Reading this thread it seems like quality is very similar whic...

Staircase looks similar but not the same, unless it has been changed since it was installed of course.

Re: Back catalogue countdown to Hotspot

What a treat. Just listened 43 minutes end to end. Two divided by zero is such a great opener and grabbed me when I first heard it in 1987 as it does now with it’s narrative of travel and journeying to a new place. It’s also intrinsically linked now in my mind to the scenes in It Couldn’t Happen Her...

Re: Back catalogue countdown to Hotspot

Great idea. I had thought of doing something similar so will try and join in.

I do struggle to listen to FLs end to end though due to the repetition of the tracks.

Re: Decide (Burning the Heather b-side)

This thread now contains posts expressing the views of both the main political parties in the U.K. or at least some of their supporters, which those in the other one are likely to find offensive. Some are very explicit. Others are more passive aggressive. Let’s not do this here. There’s plenty of sp...

Steering away from politics ([emoji6]), wouldn’t Decide sound amazing live?! I can just imagine the epic ending with Neil conducting the crowd. Really enjoying it.
