Re: Neil and Chris and their big secret we speculate about, from time to time
it's funny...but i never had a even a remote fascination for their romantic lives, they always came across as slightly fuddy-duddy/maybe even asexual to me
In the scheme of things, it would have been nice if they had a steady partner like most of their peers, but no biggie

Re: News: "Chris and Neil have been at their homes, writing new songs and working on music for a new theatre production"
Said it before, but Hotpot is the ultimate PSB “curse”. I really wonder if they’d be cautious and postpone a real tour until way later, and maybe dispatch new material before hand. https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-55536355 This is an interesting article about the deadline looking to have...

true...but it was not beyond them to release more commercial/uptempo stuff out of insecurity....eg. Where streets have no name, Very album (post Behaviour) etc...
in 1997 Spicemania was at its peak, but it would have made a Top 10 in the charts for sure

Re: It Doesn't Often Appear At Christmas
It's so annoying when mariah, pogues, GM all bound up the charts during Dec, but PSB's It Doesn't often.. is no where. Do you think if they had released the song in 1997, when they were still commercial and impacting the single charts (atleast still getting into top 20), this could have gotten into ...

Re: When you stop liking the music as much
Although to me it doesn't feel as long as it obviously has been, I've clearly been on the rollercoaster a long, long time. I don't think PSB really put a foot wrong prior to and including 'Behaviour'. 'Behaviour' marked the peak for me. It was grown up electronic music and as I have said before, it...

Re: When you stop liking the music as much
I always remember this NME review of Nightlife, which makes the valid point that everyone who's great goes crap in the end: https://www.nme.com/reviews/reviews-nme-1453-337858 Ouch..that was a bitchy review :o but isn't this a syndrome that almost every band/solo act has faced, esp for a career spa...

Re: What would you think a future PSB's album should sound like in order to reinvent themselves?
I think Electric was a great album and reinvention and rest of trilogy ended up having diminishing returns, though there was a lot of variety and some sounds they never attempted before, but is there ever escaping the PSB template sound, no matter the producer?! I think one of the most exciting pop ...

Re: Three track recommendations
Hi all A few friends and I have a little song swap thing going on where we listen to the recommended songs and discuss after. I need to recommend 3 PSB songs that fit the following categories: 1. The deep cut - recommend a track that is very much a fan base special that is absolutely top draw - be ...

Re: Actually vs Introspective, choose the best one
if the Disco Version of Heart was part of Actually, it would have been near perfection and a close call..but Introspective it is for me! It's an album I learnt to love, Left to my own devices, I'm not Scared, Domino were immediate and I was seriously scratching my head on I want a Dog at first and I...
